We had a special week here, with a stunning setting, comfortable rooms, excellent food, and staff who were so friendly and helpful. The pillows weren't great, that's my only complaint. Public transport is limited and taxis are hard to find, so I'd definitely rent a car. A truly magical getaway, and one I'd recommend.

We came with my family and found the service correct, but not especially friendly or welcoming. There wasn't a smile, and we didn't feel very welcome. It seemed like he didn't enjoy his job. The menu was small, which was disappointing. With a trout farm next door, I expected more than one trout dish, baked trout with potatoes. They could do more with that opportunity: smoked trout salad, a tortilla with smoked trout, trout on toast, stuffed trout from the oven, grilled trout, or tagliatelle with smoked trout, for example. The hotel could also offer guests the option to fish themselves for a fee, perhaps with the option to trade their catch for smoked trout for a little extra money.

Wow, such a great stay. The food was amazing, the staff super friendly, and the view and quiet of nature were wonderful. Definitely coming back.

We visited in January, and it was snowy but lovely to walk around in nature and see deer. The hotel and its setting are beautiful, dinner was perfect and romantic, and breakfast was okay. The staff were very friendly. I'd recommend this place.
