The owner reopened the kitchen after I arrived late, cold, hungry and exhausted, and I ended up chatting with him and his family. They're lovely, and the place has that welcoming family feel you don't get at a big chain. I arrived at 9 pm on a weeknight without a reservation after getting caught in bad weather, but they found me a room right away. I can't wait to visit again. My room was very spacious and spotless, with lovely views of the German countryside, and the hotel was quiet. The restaurant food and service were excellent, and breakfast was delicious too. A wonderful stay all around.

I wouldn't recommend staying here. The rooms are okay, and you can put up with the very poor breakfast, but privacy was the main problem for me. Staff entered my room even when I didn't want it cleaned, ignoring the PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB sign. They also checked my luggage in the room. I won't be coming back.

There were eight of us, and we all loved our stay. The family running the property was wonderful, breakfast was great, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Highly recommend it!

I was really pleased with the family atmosphere and the clean room. The breakfast was excellent, and so was the restaurant.
