The bathroom was cramped and grubby, with only a bar of soap and no other toiletries. At 6ft 3 and not so slim, I found the shower a challenge. The room itself was worn out and dirty, smelled of stale cigarette smoke, and the curtains wouldn't close properly. The mattress was hard as a rock, though at least it had a protector on it. We were sent here from Schloss Waldthausen because they had overbooked, and apparently this is their 'sister hotel'. It was a shock to be split off from most of our group. The location might be all right, but the accommodation was poor. For 170 EUR, I could have had the room I'd cancelled at the Holiday Inn in Mainz, with money left over, after being told Schloss Waldthausen was confirmed. Honestly, try somewhere else.

The location is excellent, and dogs are welcome. There’s plenty of parking outside. The rooms are clean and well looked after, though the place has a cheap feel overall.

The staff were friendly and capable, and breakfast was nice. The rooms are clean, though the bathrooms are only just adequate. The shower stall is so tiny it's hard to turn around in. It's a budget hotel.

The price was good, and I was glad to find a hotel at short notice during the Frankfurter Messe. Comfort was adequate, but there was a rattling noise in the room all night that I couldn't stop.
