We’ve stayed in holiday apartments for 30 years and have never encountered anything this run-down. The place was dirty and sticky, the beds were completely worn out, and the kitchen was missing basic cooking tools. Some plates even had holes in them. We’d give it zero stars if we could. The hostess was the worst part: incredibly rude and unfriendly. The other reviews about her were spot on. We left a few days early and booked somewhere else. We also found Büsum generally very unfriendly to dogs, and this accommodation was no exception. Never again.

We couldn’t even enjoy a whole day indoors during a spell of over 35 degrees, when everyone had sunburn, without the hostess getting upset. How we spend our holiday is none of her business, or anyone else’s. She also complained about our small child. If children aren’t welcome, that should have been clear in the listing. The apartment was run-down and short on essentials, especially basic cooking utensils. The beds were uncomfortable, and the toilet flush was extremely loud.

Everything was close by, and the apartment itself was a lovely little place, clean and peaceful. The hosts were genuinely kind. We’d be happy to return. Thanks so much.
