I stayed for two weeks with a friend at Seestern 2, and problems started right away. We chose it because it was close to the train station and we didn’t want to haul our luggage around, but we had to collect the key from a caretaker’s office at least a kilometer away. The employee there was incredibly unfriendly. They insisted we pay €42.80 for two sets of linens, even though the owner had quoted €36.00, issued my visitor card under the wrong name, and refused to give us a second set of keys. The house brought more unpleasant surprises. Despite booking weeks ahead, there were no bed linens or towels. The furniture was dusty, the floors had dirt and hair on them, the living-room carpet was stained, there was just one roll of toilet paper for two weeks, and the garden furniture was dirty. We spent the first two days sorting out organizational problems. We eventually got linens and towels, but no toilet paper and no second key for the courtyard gate. The house has almost everything, but it’s unclean and run-down. Wallpaper is peeling, the stairs are too steep and this wasn’t mentioned in the description, the bathroom needs renovating, there isn’t even a doormat, and the yard is neglected. Not recommended!

There were six adults in our group, and we had plenty of room in both the house and the annex, including the garden. It’s a lovely, well-equipped place in a great spot in Büsum. We’d love to come back soon!

Haus Seestern 2 is a small cottage for two in the backyard, very quiet and almost right in the city center. Shops, the pedestrian zone, restaurants, and the sea and harbor are all an easy walk away. The house has everything, but cleanliness could be better: the floor was dusty and some cups and cutlery were dirty. The bathroom and kitchen were OK. The living room isn’t very comfortable for long TV evenings when the weather is bad, because of the armchair and footstool. The bedroom is the biggest drawback: the floor creaks with every step, there’s only about 30 cm between the bed and closet, and the bed creaks whenever you move. The sloping ceiling makes the room feel cramped. Just OK for a week.

There was no real sense of comfort here, so we won't be back. The Seestern back house is a converted garage, about 42 square meters, and although it has what you need, it feels unwelcoming. The furniture is dated and some areas badly need renovating. The garden also looked nothing like the photos: the shed was completely broken and the chairs were filthy.

The house was lovely, with comfortable beds and a roomy living room. It has everything you need, and the nearby train station wasn't an issue for us. There's also a playground not far away.
