We stayed for seven nights and were greeted so warmly by the very friendly owners. They also had a crib and safety gate ready for our children.

We felt very at home in this spotless, peaceful apartment. The owners were kind and helpful, and it’s a handy base for exploring on foot or by car. You can walk straight to Haithabu, and Schleswig is easy to reach without a car. Planes from the base are occasionally audible, though it didn’t bother me since we were usually out. The apartment sits at the end of the street.

The garden is a lovely bonus, with a covered place to sit and a barbecue. Inside, the apartment has all the little things you might need, even coffee filters, dish sponges and tea lights. The hosts are very friendly, and you feel at home right away. For the price, this charming place is hard to beat.
