We stayed in a cottage from Monday to Thursday, 16th - 19th of February 2026, with three adults and four kids. The setting was calm and cozy, and the location was good. The facilities were generally good, the kids had fun, and the staff were very nice. That mattered most to me, but I probably won't return. The main issue was hygiene. Before we had even unpacked, we found paperfish on the floors and walls downstairs, not silverfish. We called reception, and they put down three traps. We agreed I'd get in touch if the bugs came back. They were gone on day two, but returned on day three. Reception then suggested moving to another cottage. Why wasn't that offered on day one when we first reported it? What had changed? We got 50 euro in compensation on our bracelets, usable only in the park, which was less than 10%. There was also a dead rat outside the house. 🤢 The Waterpark was perfect for the kids, but there was so much chlorine. That makes sense to me when there was no soap in the showers and no guidance on washing properly before entering Aqua Mundo. In Denmark, public baths have a strict rule about this. I wonder why it isn't the same here, since soap is cheaper than chlorine. We bought three buffets at the market restaurant. The food was proper and generally good, and the kids liked it. But hygiene was lacking: not a single disinfectant dispenser, and kids were touching the soda and soft ice dispensers. I even saw a chef pick up fries from the buffet with bare hands. 🤢 The restaurant was also very cold, with a strong draft along the side facing reception.

The walk outside was refreshing, and the Nordsee coast is only a few minutes away and accessible to the public. But for what we paid, 830 euros for three nights in a three-bedroom apartment for six, I didn't feel it was worth it. The photos make the rooms look attractive, but the houses are poorly maintained in reality. There weren't even basic toiletries, just one roll of toilet paper. You have to bring your own bedsheets, blankets, and pillow covers or pay extra. The kitchen was decent and had the necessary equipment, but despite having three bedrooms, the apartment had only one bathroom and toilet. The worst part was the small spiders inside and on the outside windows. They scared the kids, and the place looked like nobody had stayed there for around six months. Apart from the Aqua Mundo water pool, there wasn't much for children to do. There are indoor games, but you have to pay extra, and you can find those at any local kids' club.

We enjoyed the mini golf, and the activities were good. The water pool and other activities were okay, though they could be bigger. It rained most of the time and the weather wasn't great, so the indoor pools and activities came in handy.

The cottage was clean and well equipped. The location and facilities were good, and the wristband made access easy to integrate. Activities were simple to add through the app. Aqua Mundo was adequate, with plenty of slides and a heated swimming pool. The outdoor pool, with its hot water, was really refreshing.

Having the swimming pool in the same place was especially handy with young children. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, and it was great having everything together. While we ate breakfast or dinner, the kids could safely play in a massive indoor playground. Our 3,5 year old twins loved the stay, and the "kinderdisco" was lovely. Super kid-friendly and fun.
