KNAUS Campingpark - Eckwarderhörne

The facilities were limited, especially for the price. It felt overpriced.

The campsite’s quiet, natural setting suited us, with two good restaurants nearby and plenty of nice walking routes. We rented a mobile home for three nights and were very pleased: compact but thoughtfully laid out, clean, and nicely furnished. The heating worked well, and there was a TV. The shower and toilet were separate, though the toilet space is so tight that bigger people might struggle.

The restrooms and showers were clean and got regular attention, and the prices seemed fair. We came across the place by chance and felt at ease; the staff were very friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back.

We only stayed at the campervan area in front of the campsite, so we can’t say anything about the campsite itself. We had the place entirely to ourselves for one night, and it was wonderfully quiet. The price seemed fair, and the older sanitary facilities were spotless, well cared for, and had nice hot showers. The surrounding area didn’t appeal to us much, though. Walking dogs is awkward because you have to keep behind the dike, and cycling on the seaward side is quite a challenge. The newly built section is covered in stones, so you can’t get down to the water, but it works well for cycling.
