Being right by the castle pond and castle church is a lovely bonus. The apartment itself is spacious, tastefully and creatively furnished, and has just about everything, including a washing machine and a Nintendo Wii. I’ve never stayed anywhere with a game console like that. There’s a real sense that the owners trust guests to appreciate the place and look after it. I’d happily move in; it was a wonderful experience. We originally booked because the fantastic Kellerhaus restaurant is across the way, where we always eat when visiting Chemnitz. We only discovered at key pickup at Kellerhaus that the apartment belonged to the restaurant owner. :-)
