Pension Hohensee is in a quiet neighborhood, close to Zellerfeld's Mining Museum, with endless jogging trails over meadows and through the forests nearby. Our remodeled room on the second floor was cozy, quiet and nice, the Wi-Fi worked well, and breakfast was excellent. The hosts’ service and professionalism were outstanding. Mr. Hohensee did everything he could to accommodate us, even helping with a tire problem on our car. The pricing was very reasonable. We’d stay again and highly recommend it for a vacation in Clausthal-Zellerfeld and the Harz Mountains.

The location worked well for what I needed, but the room itself was very basic. The house was noisy, and the room and toilet were on separate floors. There were no TV channels. I'm not hard to please, so I don't understand the above-average ratings.
