Hotel Ravene

We spent two nights here in November during the Christmas Market and had a lovely stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a nice view of the castle. The owners and staff were very nice and attentive, and breakfast was really good for a smaller hotel. We’d definitely come again.

The owner met us in the evening and spent ages helping us get settled, even though he didn’t speak English and my German is terrible. He told us about the town, drew things on our map, and made sure we had what we needed. Breakfast was good, with a nice mix of freshly made and packaged items. The room was excellent and comfortable, with a very nice view. I only wish it had air conditioning, since we visited during a hot week. It’s close to downtown, about a block up from the river, and an easy walk to the castle in around 20 minutes. It’s a small hotel, but clearly works hard to make your stay delightful.

The apartment felt much bigger than we expected for two rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom, especially compared with homes back where we live. It was spotless, from the bathroom to the floors, and the beds were nicely set up. They'd stocked it with loads of useful things, including a kettle, soap, cups, glasses, coffee and filters, a coffee maker, and pots and pans, so cooking in was easy.

Just a bed and breakfast, but it’s close to the town centre, which was handy.
