The breakfast buffet was huge and nicely laid out, and the hostel is only a short 10-minute walk from the city center, main railway station and cathedral. Crossing the river bridge is especially pleasant, though watch out for cyclists speeding by. I was really impressed with this youth hostel. It beats many hotels I’ve stayed in. I booked a private en suite room and it was excellent, clean and well presented. I even commented on how good the housekeeping was. There was construction next door in November 2025, so it was noisy with the window open. They didn’t work at night, though, and the room was soundproof with the window shut. Reception was being renovated too, but the staff were handling it admirably. I really enjoyed staying here and I’m sure I’ll be back.

The breakfast selection was decent, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. It’s a neat, very clean hostel near the city. Köln Cathedral and the center are both about a 15-minute walk away. I had a good experience.

The bed was comfortable, the room clean, breakfast decent, and the hostel is very close to the city center. But there was no hand soap in the bathrooms, the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all, and construction next door started at 6 in the morning.

The location in Köln is really convenient, and it’s a welcoming place with very clean rooms. Reception is open 24/7 if you want to buy a snack or drink. I’ve stayed here every time I’ve come to Euroblast festival since 2014, and it’s never disappointed me. 💯

We only stayed one night at this Jugendherberge, but we really enjoyed it. The staff were very nice, the rooms were perfectly clean, and breakfast had a huge variety of products.
