Getting here from Terminal 1 at Koln-Bonn airport means going to the far end past Eurowings, down two levels, across the street, then following the signs. The lobby is up on the top floor, and with a group, those two elevators can be a challenge. It doubles as the bar, restaurant, and business area, with nice airport views. The rooms are below. Taxis and Uber won't collect you there, so you have to head back to the airport.
4/10
The room was okay, but there’s no air conditioning, minibar, or even a kettle for tea. Planes are very loud throughout the day and carry on at night. Reception staff were rude and not much help. With decent public transport, I’d pick a better hotel in town next time.
8/10
We paid 109 Euros, which seemed fair, and the rooms were roomy with a clean bathroom and toilet. The minibar had no fridge, though. Being so close to the airport was handy for arriving late, and getting there takes about a four-minute walk from level -1. Check-in and the restaurant-bar are on the 5th floor, where there’s also a nice terrace. The rooms curve around in a circle, so reaching ours from the elevator took a bit of walking. Everything was clean and tidy, and we were satisfied.
8/10
The rooms were clean and cozy, and being able to walk to the airport was handy. It felt a bit pricey for one night. Reception spoke broken English, and cargo flights made it pretty loud at night.
10/10
For an early flight, this is an easy choice, and I’d stay again. The price was good and the airport is just a one-minute walk away. Parking is close by, and you can also catch a train into the city center. Very convenient.
