The owner knows the Ore Mountains inside out and can share plenty about the area. He even runs a taxi service to Annaberg-Buchholz and other well-known towns. We were also impressed by the service, and the house was clean with fabulous food. Set in the middle of the forest, the location made our visit to the Ore Mountains feel perfect.

The food was freshly made, delicious, and generous, and they were happy to handle special requests. The price was right, too. Our family room had a lovely feel and was spotless, and the hotel itself was very clean. It’s peaceful and idyllic, just right for relaxing. The staff were so friendly and looked after us brilliantly. We’ll definitely come back.

Breakfast and dinner were unbeatable, with lots of homemade things, from jams to salads, served in little screw-top jars. A hygienic touch that also cuts down on waste. You can tell everything has been thought through. The whole team at the Waldhotel was fantastic, so friendly and helpful that we felt like part of one big family. The idyllic setting, nature, and surroundings made it easy to unwind. Compliments!
