Stadt Cuxhaven

The Beach-House Apartments are modern, spacious, and well equipped, with a good location and a fair price. The staff, especially Britta and Tim, were very attentive and helpful. It's an excellent option for families, including for longer stays.

Tim manages a very good team, and the hotel is cosy and welcoming for a trip or a holiday. It's a lovely traditional-style place in Cuxhaven's old harbor area, by Heinrich Heine's "Alte Liebe". Two thumbs up!

The breakfast the next morning was outrageously good, with loads of cheese and meat to choose from, fresh orange juice, and more. Our modern, clean double room also had things you don't often see, like a Nespresso machine, a stocked minibar, and a tablet. From booking through to arrival, the service was amazing. The team really made an effort to help us feel welcome and comfortable. When we're in Cuxhaven again, we'll definitely book Hotel Stadt Cuxhaven.

The rooms are small but cleverly laid out, spacious enough, clean, and tidy. The mattresses are some of the best in the world, in my personal opinion: fairly firm, old-style springs, which I find best for your body. There was a minibar with fair prices, and the lobby fridge had local beers you could take, as long as you told the staff the next morning. Breakfast was far above the usual German standard, with a lovely selection for a full, continental, or other kind of breakfast. Prices for the stay were fair, and the location is great. Absolutely recommendable! We had some trouble checking in because we arrived after 1800. The hotel sends an entry code for each room by SMS, WhatsApp, or email, but we didn't receive it until after another guest helped us get inside. It seems they sent it by WhatsApp. They should explain the procedure better on the website, including the mobile version. We couldn't find any information about it there.
