Hotel Modi

The staff were wonderful and very welcoming, even though we couldn’t speak German. When we asked for traditional German food recommendations, they sent us to a local restaurant at Hotel Fischer, where the food was wonderful and we were treated like royalty. Hotel MODI was easy to find, with parking right by the door. We stayed the last night of our trip, after visiting Dachau Memorial and before our morning flight from Munich International. The Memorial was just down the road, and the airport was about 25 minutes away. The clean, beautiful room had very comfortable beds, and the short drive in the morning was well worth it. I’d come back to Hotel MODI in a heartbeat. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The staff were courteous and professional from the moment we arrived, and went out of their way to help with dinner suggestions on a Saturday night when our options were limited. The small restaurant attached to the hotel was a great bonus, and the breakfast buffet ran until 2PM. Our room was exceptionally clean, and parking was easy, which you really appreciate when traveling in Germany. We booked Hotel Modi after having trouble finding reservations in some of the better-known nearby towns. I’ve traveled widely, lived in Germany for a while, and stayed in all kinds of hotels, so I don’t write many reviews. This one felt deserved. It was a warm, comfortable, well-run stay when we needed it, and I’d gladly return.

While visiting the Concentration Camp Memorial as a tourist, I needed information and some help sorting out logistics. The front desk and staff were unbelievably kind, especially Lisa, who I want to thank. I’d be happy to support this hotel if I ever return to the area.

We stayed four days and found the rooms clean and the parking excellent, but the service was the real highlight. I especially want to thank Liza at reception. She helped with car rental by calling and checking on it, and made me feel really looked after.
