Friesenhof Mühlenwarft

For the GPS, make sure you enter "Mühlenwarft" as the destination, and you'll find it without trouble. We had a lovely, restful week at the Friesenhof, where the hosts were very, very friendly. It's easy to take great trips to the surrounding islands from there, and Denmark is just a stone's throw away. Highly recommended.

The couple running the courtyard were friendly, but the landlord himself, whom we paid for the apartment at a hotel in Dagebüll, was very unfriendly. When we asked him to deal with the problems, he said we should leave the hotel because none of them counted as a complaint. We were shouted at and told to go since we weren't his guests, even though the hotel had let us book and pay there. The whole situation was questionable and completely unacceptable. That's no way to treat customers. Sorry, we're very disappointed. We'd been looking forward to a week's break, but the apartment let us down. It wasn't very clean, and some fixtures and furnishings were quite old. The bedroom had no window that opened, just a single door straight onto the courtyard, so there was no real privacy or peace.

It's rural, romantic, and a paradise for kids. So relaxing and idyllic. The owners are always warm and friendly. I've stayed in plenty of lovely cabins, hotels, and apartments, but this is probably the nicest one. It's fairly remote, so you don't really notice the tourism, yet the center and harbor are an easy 15-minute trip away. The place is well equipped, and you don't need to bring much, maybe your favorite cup or baby supplies. Five stars for this beautiful farm.

It's quiet here, and you can easily get around on foot. The hostess was lovely, and the accommodation was okay. The rooms are large but a bit dark. Unfortunately, the bedroom has no window that opens, just a sliding door onto the courtyard.
