On our cycling trip we booked this place for one night, and it was a poor fit. Before arrival, we had to register on a website to pay the city tax, which was a complicated process, and the owner didn’t help. When we got there, there were no sheets or towels. We had to request them and pay €150. We did get that extra charge refunded in the end, but the stay still wasn’t a good experience.

We were very happy with the apartment and would gladly return. It was lovely, well cared for, and had everything we needed. A tea towel and dish soap would’ve been useful, but that was our only small wish. Our contact with Quartierfreund was pleasant throughout. We also found signing up for the tourist tax straightforward and not a problem at all. 👍

The apartment was spotless and well kept, and the dog beach in the south is less than five minutes away. But we arrived on Sunday to find no Wi-Fi or TV. Staff said reception in the area was very poor, which didn’t ring true to us. We’ve often stayed in Dahme and Kellenhusen and never had that problem. A technician finally came Tuesday afternoon and found the Wi-Fi router wasn’t even switched on. We asked for some compensation, but neither the accommodation provider nor the landlord thought that was necessary. They weren’t friendly at all.
