The sea view, the host couple, and the lovely breakfast were all good. Still, I wouldn’t call this a hotel, more of a guesthouse, and for safety reasons we wouldn’t stay here again. It’s an old building with steep, old wooden stairs, so I expected smoke detectors in the rooms. The detectors had been removed from our attic room, and the bathroom outlet was sparking. When we came back from the beach, our beds were being made. There was no sign on the door to prevent this, and we weren’t comfortable with it because we’d left personal belongings out. We won’t book this guesthouse again.

We had a relaxing stay and would love to return. Our ground-floor room was great, the location near the beach was superb, and breakfast was plentiful and good. The hosts were very friendly, and they dealt with any questions or problems right away. Rainer and Karin Busch

Our double room with a sea view was unusual but practical, with a kettle and small fridge provided. The Strandperle isn’t ultra-modern, and neither are its furnishings, but everything was clean and lovingly decorated and looked after. We stayed just four nights and felt completely at ease and well accommodated. The many little touches show how much the hostess cares about her house and her guests’ comfort. Best wishes from a well-rested South Hessian.

Our small room had a sea view and was cozy for the four days we stayed. The breakfast buffet was fresh and plentiful, though I would’ve liked the coffee a little stronger. That’s just personal taste. The bed and breakfast is lovely and almost right on the Baltic Sea. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Her husband was more reserved, with a Nordic manner 😉 We’ll be back!
