H+ Hotel Darmstadt

The junior suite hadn't been cleaned or serviced properly when we arrived. They sorted that out the next day, but I later learned regular room service only happens if you ask for it. Apparently there was a sign at reception, though who reads every sign while checking in?

Breakfast was really good for the price, and the rooms were clean and pleasant. The highway entrance is about a five-minute drive away. Outdoor parking is free if you can get a spot, and paid parking is also available for 15€.

The location was good and the room price low. The place was clean and looked nice enough, but the TV was small and old, the drain was partly blocked, and they don't clean the room unless you ask. No one even knocked to change towels or take the trash. Breakfast was expensive for such a basic spread, and drinks at the bar were very expensive too. Parking beneath the hotel costs a lot. When I asked the front desk to arrange a large taxi with a baby seat, they just said their button calls a cab and they couldn't order what I needed. That was all the help they offered. I sorted it with one phone call to a taxi station, though the desk has always handled that sort of thing for me before.

It was clean, though pretty basic overall. The decor felt a little old fashioned, and I found the bed too hard.
