The central location was handy, with plenty of restaurants nearby, including sushi, and the price was fair for the region. Check-in starts at 14h, and the free parking garage was a plus. Breakfast was okay, with croissants, Late macchiato and pretzels. We had one big mattress, so there wasn’t an annoying gap between two singles. The wifi was slow enough to interrupt video calls, and images, videos, and websites took a long time to load. The pillows were too soft and uncomfortable. Although check-out was until 11h, the cleaning woman was already knocking at 9h30. The bedroom furniture wasn’t very practical: the TV was beside the bed instead of in front, the lights could only be switched from outside the bed, and the outlets were far away. The elevator was broken, and the bedrooms are on floors 2 and up.

The restaurant serves classic Bavarian food, different hamburgers, and salads. The food was tasty, and so was the beer. It’s a good mid-priced hotel, especially for a short stay with bikes, and the staff are very kind and helpful. The location is central but still quiet in the evening, so you can rest at night. Some hotels by the central market cost much more and aren’t always quiet.

The breakfast was smaller than at most places we stayed on this trip, but still very nice, especially the wonderful homemade jam. The room was large and the staff were nice. There’s a gated garage that was good for locking up the bikes. Cyclists should know it’s behind the main building, but the bikes are in plain view whenever the door opens.

The room was clean and sensibly laid out, though I missed having a fridge. Breakfast was good and tasty, with all the basics, and reception staff were very friendly. The hotel’s right in the town center, with a nice view from the window. But the street in front is noisy, with car after car going by, and there’s noise from the café opposite too. If you have a single room facing that way and sleep with the window open, expect to hear it. Wifi authorization could be simpler as well: it only works for one device at a time, and re-entering the login details after each connection gets a bit tiresome.

My parents had an emergency on the way to their vacation, so I stayed at the hotel. The bed and breakfast could have been a little better, but the staff were about as friendly and helpful as anyone could be. Special thanks to Dan Guz for helping me print a document on a Sunday in a foreign country. I think the hotel deserves my well-earned 5-star rating!
