Pension Zum Burggrafen

Avoid this place. The listing advertised blackout curtains, a common room with tea and coffee, a terrace, free newspapers at reception, and free Wi-Fi. None of them were there, not a thing. The owner didn't respond to calls, SMS, or WhatsApp. All the signs in the room are in German, which is a problem if you're an international guest who can't read German.

Our room had spider webs, a bad smell, and hairs in the bed, possibly left by previous guests or cleaners. The window in the room door was broken and patched with different kinds of duct tape. Don't take the original description at face value or be taken in by the low price. For Germany, the price may be low or around the lower end of average, but the service quality is very poor. I'd only stay here after exhausting every other option; cutting corners seems to be their approach to quality.

It was cheap, but not reliable and not worth the money. We booked a room for the night and arrived late to find the hostel closed, even though the advertisement said it was open 24 hours a day. When we called for answers, the person denied that we'd booked for that evening, despite our confirmation email specifically saying we were coming that night. I never write reviews, but please do not book here.

I spent one night here. The rooms are small, but have what you need, and for the price I can't complain. It's perfect if you need something cheap for a day. There's a very good Indian restaurant downstairs. I'd recommend it for simple people like me 👌👌👍👍
