We made the trip on September 11, 2025, and found it closed, run-down, and no longer in use. Just faded glory. A wasted journey.

The setting is lovely, and the owner still serves guests herself in both the café and restaurant. There are rooms to book, plus dogs, cats, and donkeys, so it's great for kids too. The place has a different feel, with a Dutch, family-friendly atmosphere. The grounds are beautiful and being readied for summer. Definitely worth a visit!

We stayed in one of the rooms and slept really well in a comfortable bed. The hostess was so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s a lovely, green, peaceful spot. Breakfast came with fresh eggs and homemade bread, and we also had homemade butter cake and a brownie. Such a wonderful weekend.

The owner puts all her energy into this project, and you can feel it. There are donkeys and poultry on site, and plenty of water. You can book accommodation too. It’s not luxurious, but it has a rustic charm, and there’s plenty to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. A place with a difference.

The mill sits in a really idyllic spot, and Densborn is a charming little village. It’s a historic watermill with guest rooms, run by a family. We thought some costs were a bit steep: €15 a day for our small dachshund, €5 for a bottle of water, and €3.50 for a small coffee.
