AKZENT Hotel Am Bach

The breakfast really stood out, with a huge range of what seemed like quality local products, from fresh fruit to well-made egg dishes. The staff were warm and attentive, and the room was exceptionally clean, with no dust and everything hygienic despite its age. The decor does look old-fashioned, like stepping into the 80s or 90s, but if that doesn't bother you, it's a cozy and welcoming place for a weekend.

The staff were friendly throughout, and the breakfast pastries were very good. I slept comfortably on the two mattresses. The building feels quite old, especially the café and breakfast room, which look like the early 80s and could use some updating. Still, it works well for a night or two as a base for wine hikes.

Breakfast was very good, but the replacement room arranged at short notice was uncomfortable and not very well kept. Our reservation had disappeared six months after we booked. We paid €80 each for two nights in a single room with breakfast, and both single rooms shared one bathroom. It leaves me wondering what that overnight stay was worth.

The service at Akzent Hotel Am Bach was so warm that we felt well looked after, and breakfast was excellent, with plenty of homemade and locally produced items. We spent three nights in lovely Dettelbach. The rooms are nicely furnished, though without air conditioning I think they could be difficult in really hot summer weather. It was fine for us. For half board, we had dinner at the sister hotel Akzent Franziskaner. The service there was good, and almost all the food tasted good too. We can recommend it without reservation. Thanks again!
