The room was clean, and the blackout was good enough to make it properly dark. For a low price, it also makes a handy starting point for a hike. The glossy floors give the simple hotel a slightly fancy look, though the mostly closed reception left us unsure what to do if something went wrong. You can call at any time, and the staff were nice when they were around. There was no Wi-Fi because they were changing providers, and the TV was missing, though we weren't going to use it. Some doors had marks that looked like attempts to force them with screwdrivers, which seemed suspicious.

Breakfast was okay, but when something ran out, it took a long time for them to bring more. The hotel itself is very old and basic, and the beds weren't great. There were four adults in our group, but we got a room for three plus a fold-up bed with a horrible mattress. It was very hot, and we couldn't open the window because people were drinking beer and talking loudly right below it.

The room was nice, but the shower had been patched up with foil and tape and barely had any pressure. Staff were friendly, though they didn't seem especially focused on service. Breakfast was small, and special requests seemed impossible. It's an okay, cheap place for a night's sleep, and our two-night stay was fine, but next time I'm in the Black Forest I'll choose another hotel.

We were able to put our motorcycles in the garage, which was a real plus, and the bed was good. Breakfast was decent too. The place felt a bit odd and messy, and not very professionally run, but for the price there isn't much to complain about. That shower curtain, though, really isn't acceptable.

The apartment was clean, had everything we needed, and came with a great view. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the location was great. Getting there on those roads was exactly what a biker wants. I'd recommend it.
