Although I had a reservation, I was left outside in the rain at night. Check-in is only allowed from 3 to 6 pm, and after that nobody answered the door or either of the after-hours bells. Eventually, after driving to five other hotels and calling several more, I found another place with a vacancy. When I spoke with the front desk the next day, they showed no regret and just said they closed at 6 pm. I asked why customers weren't told about the policy, and they said they had no contact details. I booked through my company, and from experience I know they provide both my email and phone number.

The pool is in the main hotel building, while our suite was in a separate house with its own sauna and breakfast room. Our suite was huge and had a terrace, which made it great. We stayed just one night, but the whole experience was lovely, from a really great check-in through to check-out. The pool and sauna were nice too.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding, and our room was bright, cheerful, comfortable, and upscale. The whole place was nearly spotless. We stayed overnight in December 2016, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, though they didn't speak much English. If you're in this little corner of the world, I'd recommend staying here. You won't be disappointed.

The service was outstanding, and you feel very well looked after. We had a dreamless night at this pleasant hotel near the beaches in Cuxhaven. The rooms, bathrooms, beds, and breakfast were all fine. They even have a shoehorn that's decently long, which was invaluable for an old man getting ready to cross the North Sea. Recommended!

The hotel was very clean, and parking was good. The rooms are cute and small, the spa is friendly and well run, and the staff made us feel welcome. Breakfast had something for everyone. At the restaurant, though, they start pushing you to leave after 8:30. The asparagus hadn't been boiled long enough, and the potatoes were raw inside, maybe because they were in a hurry.
