The service was the biggest letdown: staff were polite, but dinner could stretch to two hours, with waits of around 40 minutes for a starter or the first glass of wine. On the golf side, the Pro Shop was exceptionally well curated, but the courses were a mixed bag. The Old Course is an easygoing parkland round, a little dull but enjoyable. The East Course felt frustrating, with very tall rough and blind shots. Worse, the greens had just been aerated, verticut, and heavily sanded, so putting was a lottery. No warning or apology was offered. The €25 e-trolley barely worked, also without an apology. The resort itself is modern, very clean, and comfortable, though the bathrooms are small. For a place at this price, arriving without a bellboy or small welcome touches like golf balls or chocolate was surprising. Half-board meals disappointed too. Meat was often tough and underseasoned, desserts were limited, and the breakfast coffee was watery and bitter from a poorly adjusted machine. Even the breakfast buffet didn't compare well with places like Achental. We had hoped the on-site Michelin-starred Ösch Noir would lift the dining experience, but the meals were uninspiring. The facilities feel five-star, while the food and service fall short. I won't be back at this price.

The gym was fantastic, and the rooms, while small, were comfortable and very clean. The pillows were especially good. We had a relaxing weekend, with kind, helpful staff. The spa saunas weren't too crowded, though there wasn't much room to lounge afterward. Breakfast at Esszimmer was good, but dinner left something to be desired. The leftover soup from the vitality bar seemed to be served as one of the dinner courses, which was underwhelming. If we returned, we'd definitely try the Michelin-starred restaurant.

The attention to the tiniest details was unlike anything I've seen in a hotel. The staff were very polite, professional, and helpful, and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds and strong showers. The food was on another level. It's also kid-friendly. Best resort in Europe.

The breakfast buffet had lots of choice and was delicious. The rooms could use an update, but the staff were the real highlight: kind, genuine, well trained, and professional, and always ready to help. I'd come back for the service alone.

The service was great, but the food was just okay for what it cost. The wellness area was dirty and much too crowded, with about 20 people in each sauna.
