The location made our East Frisia holiday especially easy. We could walk to Edeka and Aldi in Dornum for groceries, and the town has an ice cream shop, pizzeria, Chinese restaurant, two gas stations, and a fairly priced bike rental. From there, we could cycle in several directions, including to the busy, touristy beaches with their souvenir and beach gear shops. We were glad our apartment was back in peaceful surroundings among fields, trees, and greenery, while Dornum and the area's attractions were still a quick ride or drive away. We stayed in the "Juist" apartment, one of two upstairs units. The booking and payment through booking.com went smoothly. We called ahead with an approximate arrival time, then rang the landlord's bell when we got there. He lives downstairs and showed us how to get into the apartment and where to find the bike shed. He also gave us a current events listing; we went to one of the events and enjoyed it. There was far more in the kitchen than we expected. It had a very good Liebherr refrigerator, a four-burner stove, pots and pans in standard sizes, two frying pans, an egg cooker, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, and a full range of plates and glasses, including beer, wine, and champagne glasses. I even appreciated the breakfast tray for the balcony. That small touch says a lot about how thoughtfully the place is set up. There's also an LCD TV, Wi-Fi, and a balcony with a glass table, chairs, and two lounge chairs. The apartment was spotless and in excellent shape. Everything gave the impression of being done with care, and we slept better in the bed than in any hotel bed. The modern bathroom was immaculate, with no mold and no cracks in the seals. The windows, both in the bathroom and in the living and sleeping area, were high quality too. The landlords were warm and friendly. We only saw them at check-in and check-out. Guests can use the indoor pool and sauna, though we didn't use either. The pool area looked just as clean as the rest of the property. All in all, you can tell the landlord cares about guests' comfort and has put real thought into the apartment.

A peaceful place with a pool in the house. Norddeich is no more than about 15 minutes away by car.

We spent seven days here and were completely happy with our stay. The apartment was fantastic and had everything we needed, and the landlady was very nice. We came away feeling relaxed. Thank you, we'd gladly recommend this place.

The owners were friendly and easy to reach, and we found the apartment clean and the surroundings very quiet. Nothing but good things to say.
