At the Dormeo Hotel Dresden Airport, they charged my card for the room a second time, along with the hotel fee. The receptionist admitted the mistake, but said he couldn’t refund it because there was no accountant or cash at the hotel. I had to contact the police, and only after they intervened did I get my money back. It turned out my room had been booked at the airport hotel from the beginning, which didn’t match what Booking.com showed. We had arrived at the hotel listed on my reservation, Dormeo Hoten Dresden City, after paying the full price for a double room on Booking.com. Reception spent a long time searching, then blamed a system error, refused to check us in, and offered accommodation at a “nearby” hotel, Dormeo hotel Dresden Airport, actually a 45-minute drive away, with a free breakfast as compensation. When I firmly refused, the staff intimidated me and my daughter, saying they’d cancel the reservation and I’d lose both the chance to stay at Dormeo hotel Dresden Airport and my money. They wouldn’t call a taxi or give us a written refusal to check in. Confused, we gave in to the threats and accepted two public transport tickets and a map. The service and attitude toward guests were absolutely shocking. I wouldn’t recommend staying at any of these hotels. If you do, pay close attention to every payment.

We had to report everything to the police. After booking and paying in full through Booking.com, the hotel refused to give us our room and made us go to another place in the same chain, Dormeo Hotel Drezden Airport. They gave us two tram tickets and a route map as compensation. At the airport hotel, they charged 145 euros for the room again instead of just the 10 euro fee. Their other compensation was a letter from Denis Kasten and two pieces of cake. These actions make me suspect fraud.

They charged me €50 too much for parking and said they’d refund it, but they’ve been dodging the issue and ignoring my requests for two months. The lack of professionalism and transparency is unacceptable. I consider this hotel dishonest and strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with it.

It was a bad stay. This is a self-service hotel, with nobody around to help, and you had to order room cleaning more than 24 hours ahead.

I liked the Thai restaurant nearby. There are several restaurants around, a tram stop right next door, and the train station is close, about 7-10min away. The staff were absolutely friendly. My room was great, with a perfect bed, and it was new and clean. There were cool drinks in the fridge. I was staying for the Halfmarathon event.
