JUGENDGASTEHAUS DRESDEN - Hostel

The staff made the stay especially pleasant, they were friendly and professional. The hotel itself felt modern and comfortable, with a tidy, stylish atmosphere. Breakfast had plenty of variety and was really good. A great choice for a quality stay in Dresden.

The room was neat and clean, and cleanliness was probably the one thing that met expectations. We picked this hostel for a couple of days in Dresden after seeing the Booking reviews, but the noise made the stay really unpleasant. There was a party upstairs on our first night. I asked the receptionist about it, and she said it was unusual and they were dealing with it. The next night there was no party, but we still heard people talking in the hall and moving furniture above us. Breakfast was bland, and some of the food was cold. If sleep matters to you, I’d choose somewhere else so the noise doesn’t spoil your impression of this beautiful city.

School groups stay here, so it can get pretty noisy. Still, the place is clean and livable, and it works well enough for a night.

The staff were so kind, and the whole place gave our Goethe institut Deutsch Kurs a lovely atmosphere. I was there for three weeks for a Youth course, and the rooms were clean and nice, with towels and everything we needed. The food was exquisite, though perhaps a bit too vegan for a meat lover like me. It’s about a 10-minute slow walk to Zwinger and the other places. Some of the loud parties on the 5th floor were my friends, and I’m really sorry about them and the mess we made. When you put 60 young people who work well together in one place, knowing we’ll probably never all meet again, I guess that can happen. I felt awful for the poor manager who kept coming to quiet us down. Huge respect and thanks to all the staff.
