Plantagengut Hosterwitz

Even with truly miserable weather, my mother and I had three lovely days at the Hosterwitz Plantagengut estate in the Elbe Terrace Room. The view of the Elbe River and the autumn colors was beautiful, and it was so peaceful at the end of a cul-de-sac. The room was well equipped, with a comfortable large double bed, kettle, tea, coffee, and a small fridge that let us keep food and manage for ourselves. The spacious en-suite bathroom is suitable for people with limited mobility. We’re especially grateful to Ms. Menzel for being so attentive from the booking onward and keeping our needs in mind. That view from the red terrace room was breathtaking. We stayed at Plantagengut Hosterwitz from Saturday, May 10th, 2025 to Tuesday, May 13th, 2025, and the accommodation suited us and our dog Rosi perfectly. The team on site were warm and helpful, and we felt welcome right away. Rosi settled in happily too, as the place was incredibly dog-friendly. Fantastic stay, we’ll definitely be back! We’ve returned to the Hosterwitz plantation estate several times and would gladly keep coming back. The large holiday apartment has a lovely view of the Elbe River, and we especially like sitting at the big dining table watching the ships pass. It’s well away from the tourist crowds. The river is five minutes on foot, Pillnitz Palace is ten minutes away, and the area is ideal for cycling. Saxon Switzerland is also only a short drive for hiking.

We felt very comfortable in this lovely holiday apartment. Having a kitchen was handy for when we got a bit hungry, and it’s almost right by the Elbe river. We’d love to return.
