Villa Emma

We found overnight parking across the street at a convenience store lot for 7 euros a night, since the hotel parking was still being built in August 2023. The hotel itself was charming, not far from the city center, and our room was spacious and clean. The customer service was great too. The photo is the view from our window!

We booked at the last minute, after check-in time, and the staff still helped us get the keys. The room was very clean, with a proper bathroom, and everyone was nice. We paid 40 euros for one night, which seemed like a great price for Germany. It’s on a hill in a pretty, safe-feeling neighborhood, and if you find the right spot there’s a view over Dresden. We parked a few meters from the hotel for 8 euros a night. We were just looking for a cheaper place on Booking, but this turned out to be a wonderful surprise. I’d recommend it!

The breakfast was great, with lots of choice and fresh food, and the woman who helped us was really friendly. The location’s great too. Our rooms were spacious, and we were told everything had been renovated two months earlier. If we come to Dresden again, this hotel will be near the top of our list.

Late check-in was easy, with our key waiting in a small safe outside. It’s a handy spot if you’re driving and plan to spend the day in the city. The room was small and simple, but the bathroom had been renovated.
