The Thönert family were on site and easy to reach, with suggestions for things to do. We spent a week in Haus Kerstin and felt so at home we even slept through the day we were supposed to leave! The house has four apartments and sits on a quiet cul-de-sac, about a 10-minute walk from the beach and shops. We stayed in the ground-floor apartment on the right. It has a kitchen, bathroom, hall, children’s room, main bedroom, and living and dining room. Everything was neat and clean. The shower has a proper door instead of the usual curtain, and there’s a small terrace, a garden, and a bread delivery bike.

We were a family of four with two young kids, staying for a week at Haus Kerstin in Duhnen. The apartment was spacious and clean, and had everything we needed. A handcart made the 10-minute walk to the beach much easier with all our things. The Thönert family run the place and were always available if we had questions. We’d happily come back. Thank you!

A quiet cul-de-sac location, with a big lawn behind the house, and the beach about a 10-minute walk away. We stayed in Apt. 8 with our two-year-old twins and really enjoyed it. The apartment was spacious, had a new bathroom, and was well equipped with extra travel cots and high chairs. The landlord was very accommodating, and we’d gladly return.

We had apartment number 8 for a week, and it was huge, comfortable for four, and so well thought out we couldn’t fault it. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, worth ten stars! There are games in the hallway for evenings, and a free bread delivery bike and beach wagons. Shops are about a 10-minute walk away, as is the beach. The village fountain, where EVERYTHING happens, is just three minutes away. Ahoi-Bad is under a five-minute bike ride, with waves every 30 minutes. If bikes are available, rent them, they’re really useful here. I’d also put the CuxLiner bus tour and the mudflat carriage ride on the Cuxhaven list. Book the carriage ride ahead of time. We were absolutely thrilled and will definitely be back. PERFECT!

It’s in a peaceful, pleasant area, about a five-minute walk from the sea. The apartment was lovely, clean, tidy, and furnished in a practical, attractive way. We’d love to return and highly recommend it.
