The children were given breakfast for free the morning after we had to collect them from the tent camp in the middle of the night because of a severe storm. We’d have happily paid for it, and the breakfast was excellent, with nothing missing. A huge thank you to the wonderful hotel staff for that kindness. The rooms are very clean, and the location is great, close to both the beach and town. We’ll definitely come back.

The breakfast was world-class, and we found everyone very accommodating. My wife and I stayed for a few days with our daughter, her boyfriend, and our grandchild, and the beach was nearby too. The hotel could really do with renovation, though. Replacing the carpet on the stairs would be a good place to start. Even so, we were very satisfied.

I’ve stayed at Hotel Meeresfriede twice now and have been very happy both times. My room was nicely equipped, the bed was especially comfortable, and the bathroom was large. Breakfast was excellent, and the service was good. The staff are all so kind, helpful, and friendly. The hotel is well maintained and right in central Duhnen. The beach is about 100 meters away, with everything else you need for daily life close by.

The parking at the back is secure and convenient, and there’s a bakery and other shops right next door. The beach is less than a three-minute walk away, at least at my pace. It’s a quiet, clean hotel with friendly staff and a nice breakfast buffet. I’d happily book again ;)

Shops, restaurants, and the beach are all an easy walk from this long-established hotel on the edge of Cuxhaven-Duhnen’s town center. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with reasonable rates. Reception and breakfast service were both friendly and attentive.
