Residenz Meeresbrandung

The pool and sauna are closed through the end of February. The apartment itself is nice, and it has an underground parking spot, though it’s narrow. I have to park the car myself because my wife worries about hitting something.

We were disappointed by the cleaning: there was hair around, and the bins hadn’t been emptied. The location and sea and mudflat view are hard to beat, even if people on the promenade can see in. Before the trip, communication was excellent, with detailed information about everything. CuxApart Apartment 20 has nearly everything in the kitchen, though bring your own cooking knives since the supplied ones are very dull. The beds are very soft but fine, and there’s good Wi-Fi, a TV with more than 40 channels, and board games for rainy days. The pool stayed closed for our whole visit.

The pool and sauna were closed during our stay, and the landlord hadn’t told us beforehand. I ended up half-dressed outside the elevator with construction workers nearby. Some compensation, like a voucher for the Ahoi Bath, would have been appreciated. We also never got a follow-up email asking if everything was okay. Still, arrival, departure, and communication were handled very well, and I’d stay at the Meeresbrandung Residence again. We were in House 1, where the modern, new apartment suited our needs well. The location is fantastic. The hallway felt dark and unwelcoming, parking in front is tight for maneuvering, and reaching the entrance means taking stairs down to the basement, which is awkward with suitcases but manageable. There’s often a food smell in the building from its restaurant, and the whole place is quite noisy.
