The views across the surrounding vineyards are great, and the hiking trail is easy to walk. Definitely worth a visit. Just remember to check the winter opening hours!

There’s a small, very interesting museum, and the farm is right on the farm hiking trail. It’s a fantastic, quiet, secluded place for campervans, with toilet facilities available. The farm shop has excellent honey, schnapps, and liqueurs. Other drinks and ice cream are available around the clock, with a small coin box mounted on the wall.

We’ve been here several times and always feel very comfortable. It’s a fantastic holiday destination, tucked among the mountains in a very peaceful spot. We love the Black Forest and are always happy to come back.

The parents sell wonderfully aromatic honey in several varieties. We tried the fir honey first and were immediately won over. There’s also homemade ice cream, though I’m not sure if it comes directly from the farm. It’s very tasty, and my personal favorites are the lemon and wild berry sorbets. Pick one you like! The self-service bar has homemade schnapps in many varieties, some award-winning, as well as liqueurs for €1 per glass, and they’re delicious. A selection of drinks rounds it all out. Around Christmas, they sell Christmas trees and hold fantastic events at the estate. There’s a small house museum about how arduous it was to build the house in the old days, with artifacts from that time. The old house is beautiful, and the hosts are lovely. We only briefly met the parents, who live there. Next door is a newer, equally lovely house belonging to their children. It’s a fantastic place to visit, set beautifully in the heart of the Black Forest. We somehow missed the parking area, so do better than we did and drive up to the right, then right again. The spot is very nice but quite uneven, so bring leveling blocks! We forgot ours again and were allowed to park near the clean toilets. The description explains what else the parking area offers.
