Gutsweg One - Apartment 3

This is our regular place to stay when we visit family in the Ore Mountains. The modern apartments work well for a relaxing break in either summer or winter. We like to spend evenings by the fireplace, and it’s a nice touch that wine glasses are provided. They’ve also recently added an electric car wallbox for charging.

We spent a week here with our six-month-old son and felt very comfortable. The apartment is new and finished to a high standard, with solid wood furniture, parquet floors, a modern bathroom, and a cozy wood-burning stove. The kitchen has everything, we could use the garden for barbecues and the washing machine for diapers, and the landlady helped us with anything we needed. My one complaint was the bedroom curtains. They gave privacy but didn’t block the light, which made it hard to get the baby to sleep at 7 pm. We used a living room blanket to darken the room completely. The mattresses were good, and the apartment was clean and modern, so it still deserves five stars. We did a lot of hiking in the countryside around Eibenstock, and went twice to the swimming pool, which has a very nice toddler area.

The building is almost new, and the apartment has a smart layout with all the essentials. It’s in a quiet spot, while still close to town since Eibenstock is small. A great place.
