We were comfortable during our two-night stay in this nicely decorated apartment, about a 25-minute drive from Wurzburg. The church bells at 6 in the morning may catch some people off guard; for me, the atmosphere made up for that. The hosts were very nice and also have a winery nearby.

We slept well here after arriving around 6:45 PM on our drive from Italy back to the Netherlands. The owner greeted us warmly, explained everything, and gave us a lovely bottle of wine. She also suggested Zur Rose, less than a minute away on foot, and we were glad we went. The apartment has everything you need even for a longer stay. Just be prepared for the church bells at 6 AM, and bring earplugs. The area is beautiful for walking and cycling, and we might return for more than one night.

The beds were comfortable, and the blackout blinds were a useful touch. But the apartment was quite warm during our one-night stop on the way home, as there's no air conditioning. I'm a light sleeper, and the church next door rang its bells every fifteen minutes from 5:00 AM. The apartment is on the second floor, reached by four flights of stairs, and its third bedroom is up another staircase. There is free parking in the church square, across from or beside the house.

We were there on an especially hot day and wished one of the bedrooms had a fan. The other two had one, which was a welcome extra. Otherwise, the owner was hospitable, and the apartment was spacious and clean. It sits in a charming village with a river view, and is definitely worth a visit.
