Landhotel Elterlein

The family at Landhotel Elterlein made us feel so welcome. The two McDonald's boys quickly became friends with our kids and showed us around. We had a cold shandy on the sun terrace, and the owner's cooking was a highlight. Dale's BBQ sauce, burgers, and pizza are legendary!! Breakfast was easy to add on site and catered to what we liked, with fresh coffee, rolls, and other treats every morning. We didn't need a thing. Our car was safe in the hotel's own parking lot while we went on day trips. The new playground in Elterlein is an easy walk away. We had a uniquely relaxing short break with the kids. Family room number 11 is in a quiet spot and looks out over the well-kept garden. The mattresses are new, the kids had the comfortable sofa bed to themselves, and the bed linen was high quality. The towels were fluffy, and the room had a tea and coffee bar with complimentary mineral water. Charging cables and USB sockets were provided too. The bathroom had everything we needed, including a hairdryer and fragrant soap. Everything was spotless, even the toilet and floors, which we've found wasn't the case at other places. The lounge with its sofa, small kitchen, and refrigerator was really convenient. We'll definitely come back. Thank you for the exceptional service.

We happened to book this hotel and were very pleased with the stay. Dale was kind and really focused on guests. We were very satisfied.

The staff were lovely and treated us so well at our family celebration. The excellent food, prepared by the American chef, was a big part of it. We'd love to return. The hotel is small but perfectly formed, with comfortable beds, a very good breakfast, and plenty of parking.

I can't speak to the rooms or how they're furnished, since we celebrated my father's birthday there and took part in the planning. We had a wonderful celebration in a pleasant atmosphere, with excellent food. Thank you very much! The menu was varied, and the dishes were prepared in a refreshingly different way. We got excellent advice, and they took our special ingredient requests into account. The seating and table decorations were exactly as we'd asked for. All three dishes we chose were delicious and top quality, and the portions had been planned just right. The buffet was beautifully arranged, especially the fruit. Service was extremely friendly and attentive, far beyond what you'd usually expect.
