Hotel Krone Martinsthal

Pretty cool.

Martina is a wonderful host, and this is a great place to stay in the Rheingau area.

The location is the only downside, since it's right on the street. The rooms are very clean and quite new, parking is available, and the owner is really nice. A lovely little hotel. I'd gladly stay again.

The owner made me feel as if I'd found a family I never knew I had. They were so open, helpful, approachable and warm-hearted, an unusual feeling for a short stay in a hotel I didn't know. The Hotel Krone is a beautiful house steeped in history, while the rooms and interiors are modern and very clean. I felt at home straight away. Little touches all over the hotel add to the lovely feel, from real flowers in small vases to the excellent, carefully chosen breakfast served in an intimate setting. There's also a great wine refrigerator, special requests were handled right away, and our every need was met. The Hotel Krone made my Eltville experience a thousand times better, and never felt like a run-of-the-mill hotel. I booked because we were invited to a wedding nearby and had left it a bit late to find somewhere. The pictures on booking.com looked cute and the price was right, but I didn't expect much. I never thought I'd write a review, yet as soon as I arrived I wanted to come back as soon as possible. That may partly be because, as a Berliner, it was my first time in this wonderful part of Germany, and I got a taste for the nature and the warmth of the people there. Thank you again for everything. I can hardly wait to return, and based on the owner's recommendation, it'll definitely be in the fall. See you very soon, dear Hotel Krone 👑
