The apartment was well equipped, and the internet worked well. The owners are very nice, and it’s easy to get to places from here. We stayed for several days in the smaller of the two apartments on the farm, upstairs. The farm shop sells cheese and eggs. Bread is only available on Fridays, when the shop is open to the public.
The kids got to help feed the animals and drive the tractor, and the area around here is a dream for hiking. The hosts were super friendly, the setting is wonderful, and it’s great value for money. We’d love to come back :)
The children got a real taste of farm life, from playing with the kittens to milking cows and going for a tractor ride with Farmer Bernhard. Those were highlights for the girls, and for us parents too. The hosts were especially welcoming and great with children. Our family spent six days at Dorerhof in August 2024 and enjoyed every hour. We stayed in the Talblick apartment, which is over 70 square meters, with two bedrooms, a living room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and a nice outdoor area with a stone barbecue. It was just right for a family of four, and we thought the price was excellent for what you get. A beautiful farm with charming hosts. We’ll definitely return!
Our kids were thrilled, especially by the trampoline and the two cats. They could ride on the tractor, fetch and milk the cows, play in the hayloft, and more. There are cows, pigs, goats, chickens, and rabbits as well. We had a lovely, spacious holiday apartment and highly recommend a visit. The hosts are incredibly friendly. The farm is somewhat isolated, but there are plenty of attractions within a 30-minute drive, and Freiburg is still a reasonable trip away.
The owners are super nice, and the holiday apartments are beautiful and well equipped.
