Ferienhaus Anno1875

The house is right by the canal, which makes for lovely walks and a relaxing stay. It’s a beautiful holiday home in East Frisia, furnished with a lot of care. It was very clean and stylish, with a fully equipped kitchen and even a lovely play area for children in the living room. The key box made check-in and check-out easy. We were five adults and one teenager, and there was plenty of room for everyone. We have family in Emden and visit once a year. We’re glad to have finally found somewhere we can keep booking. We had a lovely stay in this quiet house, with pleasant walks nearby and parking almost at the door. It still feels close to town: the bus stop is about 300 meters away and the ride to the center takes around 12 minutes, though the bus only comes hourly, so check the timetable. We did our shopping in Emden and baked our own rolls since there isn't a bakery nearby. Downstairs, there's a comfortable living room with a children's play area and a roomy kitchen with a dining space. It has a fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, dishes, cutlery, cups, a coffee maker, a kettle, and more. Tea with rock candy and coffee for the first day were a nice touch, and we didn't find ourselves short of anything. The shower bathroom was excellent too, with beds already made and towels provided. The upstairs bedrooms are reached by a narrow staircase, and the house sleeps about 5-6 people. There's also a cot. We'd happily try to come back sometime. Thanks to the friendly hosts.

After our day trips, it was nice to come back to a place that felt like our own cozy retreat. We were two friends and I, and spent ten wonderful days in East Frisia at the holiday home Anno 1875 in lovely Uphusen. The rooms are very comfortably furnished, and the modern kitchen had everything we needed. The quiet setting made for restful nights. I especially liked waking up to the sun coming through the bedroom window, ready for another day out. We could walk along the canal, all the way to Emden, or set off on hikes right from the house. A bus stop is only a few minutes away, and other destinations were easy to reach by car. There's parking beside the house, and shops are just a short drive away. The family gave us such a personal welcome, which we really appreciated. We were in Emden for a family reunion and stayed in the newly renovated holiday home.
