Haus Brunneck Modern Retreat

The room is furnished with care, the view is lovely, and breakfast is delicious. We feel very welcome and comfortable here, and would come back anytime.

The hardest part is having to leave eventually. This is my third stay, and I’ve brought some of my closest friends along; we’re all eager to return. Veronika and Stefan are truly rare, extraordinary people. The place feels incredibly welcoming, with tasteful design and attention to detail throughout the rooms and shared spaces. And the gourmet breakfast is outstanding. They seek out unusual, high-quality treats, so there’s something new to try each day. Five stars hardly feels like enough.

Mrs. Koller gave us such a warm welcome, and the breakfast was divine. It was lovingly prepared with local organic ingredients, homemade jams and cream cheese, and they were happy to accommodate every special request. We spent three nights here with our one-year-old daughter and had everything we needed, including a travel cot and highchair. Keeping her food in the fridge was no problem either. It’s a beautiful, carefully run place with rooms and a holiday apartment, and there are wonderful views of the Jenner and Watzmann mountains. The location also makes it easy to take trips in every direction around the Berchtesgaden region.

Mrs. Koller is a wonderful, attentive hostess, and the house has a genuinely welcoming feel. It’s beautifully furnished, with cozy rooms and delicious food prepared fresh.
