Apartment Pension Sternchen

The guesthouse is right by the Augustinian monastery, at the start of the old town, so Luther and his story feel very close. We got a warm welcome, and when we asked, the host marked several breakfast options on a city map for us. I felt at home straight away in the incredibly cozy apartment, with its charming wood furnishings. The host didn’t mention their own restaurant on the ground floor, which has a lovely rustic feel and a well-chosen menu. The large bowl of goulash soup with a slice of bread was very satisfying. There’s a tram stop less than a two-minute walk around the corner. The small bathroom has a shower and is perfectly adequate, with towels and soap dispensers provided. The sofa bed was comfortable and wide enough to sleep on even when it wasn’t fully extended. The living room faces the street, but it was quiet at night, and the bedroom looks onto the courtyard for a peaceful night’s sleep. The kitchen had a kettle, toaster, coffee maker, and plenty of utensils and cookware. I also appreciated that the waste was separated and that we were asked to use the dishwasher for hygiene reasons instead of washing dishes by hand. The hallway motion detector has a very short interval, which is energy-saving and environmentally friendly. Everything was absolutely to my satisfaction, and I’d gladly return!

The leafy courtyard was a lovely spot to sit outside, and the central location was both convenient and quiet. Shops, restaurants, and attractions were all an easy walk away. We spent three nights in the ground-floor apartment and felt very comfortable. It was cozy, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed. The hosts were friendly, attentive, and helpful, and picking up the key was straightforward. We can wholeheartedly recommend the guesthouse and would gladly come back.

The first-floor apartment was just right for four people. The sofa bed was comfortable, everything we needed was provided, and the place was spotlessly clean. It’s a charming, cozy vacation apartment, with an ideal location where everything is within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it!

The owners are exceptionally friendly, and the apartment is cozy and very nicely equipped, including a small kitchen. It’s very close to the town center. Right next door is the little restaurant "Abendbrot", serving Hungarian soups, supper platters, wines, and fruit brandies.
