Kastanienhof Erfurt

Arriving by car is probably best, since relying on public transport may be a drawback. Kastanienhof is a family-run retreat on the edge of Erfurt, with a focus on peace, mindfulness, and well-being. The conservatory dining room, fireplace, soft music, and varied Ayurvedic organic breakfast moved me deeply, to the point of tears. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone consciously looking for a beautiful, peaceful place to stay.

The organic breakfast was excellent, and the garden is so beautifully kept and landscaped that it adds a real sense of calm. Though Kastanienhof in Kühnhausen has a quiet, rural feel, getting into Erfurt is easy, so you get both. From the warm service to the house and garden design, you can tell the family puts a lot of love into the place. We felt welcome right away, and the personal hospitality made it an insider tip for us. Thanks to the lovely hosts. We’d be very happy to return!

We had such a good time in the thoughtfully furnished apartment. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and breakfast had everything we could want. The farm itself is beautiful and distinctive, with little details that make it easy to slow down. Absolutely perfect. 👌

That breakfast in the morning was lovingly put together, full of flavor and warmth. My night in the yurt was pure magic, quiet all around and a sparkling starry sky overhead. Katrin greeted me when I arrived with such a kind, warm welcome. I only wish I could have stayed longer than one night, but I know I’ll be back. Absolutely.
