Schottennester Schlafen an der Krämerbrücke

Right by the Krämerbrücke bridge, the location couldn’t be more central. The penthouse is beautifully furnished, clean and cozy, and the bathtub in the bedroom is fantastic. It’s a lovely choice if you feel like treating yourself to a little luxury. We were extremely satisfied and highly recommend it!

The apartment was lovely and in a prime spot, and everything else was perfect. Of the three TVs, only the smallest one in the kitchen worked properly at first. They got the bedroom TV working when we asked, which was appreciated.

The beds were comfortable and the furnishings were good, with the Krämerbrücke right nearby. The parking arrangement was the sticking point. The website mentions paid parking but not that there’s only one space per apartment. We felt the staff member was quite annoyed when we weren’t happy about that, especially since parking in Erfurt isn’t easy. Luckily some guests who’d just arrived didn’t need their space, so we were able to use it.

The place is central, clean and cozy, with a distinctive style. But the shower drain smelled throughout our stay, and the odor spread across the apartment. The owners tried to make it up to us with a bottle of sparkling wine, though that won’t fix what seems to be a recurring problem, apparently triggered by changes in the weather. Something needs to be done. Next time I visit, I’ll choose another apartment from the same provider.
