Die Kleine Blume

By the time we reached our eighth overnight stop on the Palatinate Forest Trail, after hiking at the end of September and start of October, we were glad to find such a harmonious place. Our room was beautiful and had a lovely view. It wasn't exactly cheap, but the half-board package left nothing to be desired: coffee and cake were included, along with a three-course dinner.

The breakfast buffet was delicious, and so was the evening menu. It's a family-run hotel in a fantastic spot for hiking or cycling, with a small sauna and pool to unwind in afterward. We'd love to return! 😁

We felt comfortable here, even though a few things aren't quite modern, and we'll definitely be back. The place is very quiet, with lots of excellent hiking trails close by. The rooms are large and beautiful, and some have a small fridge with a freezer compartment, which is handy for hikers. It's extremely dog-friendly, with thoughtful extras like treats and dog towels. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, explaining all the details and taking care of everything. The extensive breakfast buffet was great, and we highly recommend the delicious four-course dinner. There was something different, like boiled beef, and vegetarian options were always available.

The rooms were nice, though mine was a little dirty, especially the ashtray. The food was often cold or just lukewarm. With the beef cheeks and dumplings, for example, both the dumplings and sauce were cold. I would've liked some vegetables with the main course, though that's a matter of taste.
