We’d reserved a dinner table, as well as coffee and cake, but only found out when we arrived that the restaurant was closed. We had to sort out food elsewhere at the last minute, which cost us extra. I’d requested a later check-in in advance, but there was no room key in the safe when we got there. Luckily I’d checked in online too. Otherwise, my pregnant wife and I would have been left waiting outside in the cold.

The rooms in the guesthouse are small, and the bathroom is tiny. Parking there is especially poor. You pay for a space, then have to hope one is available, since anyone seems to park there despite the “guests only” sign. Very poor. The restaurant is good, and Jessica is especially great. Breakfast is fine.

The guesthouse rooms are spacious and clean, and they had a dog bed ready with treats for the dog. But getting there is a hassle: first you pick up the access key at the hotel, then drive back, and there’s no elevator, only stairs. It’s noisy outside from the traffic and busy motorway access road, and noisy inside too. You keep hearing the neighbors stomping next door and upstairs, as if they’re moving. The hotel itself has good facilities, and both dinner and breakfast are excellent. Next time, I’ll spend a bit more and book the hotel instead of the guesthouse.
