Ferienhaus Bootsmann

The dishwasher was a bright spot, looking new and still well maintained. Beyond that, our 14-day stay from the beginning to the middle of September 2017 was very disappointing. The furniture was worn, the sofa smelled bad, and the walls were dirty and only superficially cleaned, despite our paying extra for cleaning. There were lots of hairs around the toilet and sink. The wooden toilet seat looked awful and seemed like a breeding ground for bacteria. I eventually found the washing machine in the garage among dirty junk, and wasn't sure whether it was usable or belonged to the pile. A dead frog on the floor beside it was especially disgusting. The drying rack was a rusty wire frame and unusable. The double bed was propped up with a brick that fell over during the night. The bedside lamps seemed decorative, since there were no switches to operate them. The conservatory was a filthy junk room where it wasn't pleasant to sit, and the TV in the small guest room didn't work at all. Our impression was that this rental existed just to make money, with little concern for guests' comfort. A few liters of paint, a dumpster to clear out the garage, and some furniture could turn it into a stylish holiday apartment, if there were any will to do it.
