The location is fantastic, right in the center, with shops and restaurants an easy walk away and the beach just two minutes away. Even with all that nearby, it was quiet in the evenings and at night, and we couldn't hear the neighbors. The heating warmed the living area quickly and well. Some things were just okay: it looked clean at first, but a few spots, like under the stairs, could have been cleaner. The apartment had what we needed, though better quality pots and pans would make cooking easier, and the balcony mats were worn. The Wi-Fi rarely worked for us, mostly only in the morning or around midday. There's no bathroom fan or window, so after three people showered one after another, it was hard to clear the humid air. The only way was to leave the balcony open, which wasn't pleasant in 15-degree, rainy weather.

My brother and I have to sleep separately because there are two distinct rooms. The apartment was dirty, and there was NO oven. If three people want to rent a room, they have to pay for two rooms even though the third person could sleep on the couch. It's okay overall, but dogs aren't allowed on this beach.

Even with the weather being less than ideal, we had a great week in Bensersiel with our children and grandchildren. The apartment was huge, modern, clean, and nicely organized, so everyone had room to unwind. A warm thank-you to the Hucke family for making us feel so welcome. We'll definitely return!

The view and location deserve 5 stars. The kitchen gets just 1: there’s no worktop, and only two sockets for all the appliances. The first bedroom is really only suitable for children, and the stairs up to it aren’t ideal. I’d give that room 2 stars. The second bedroom also gets 2: it’s separated from the apartment by the building’s hallway, so you need two keys to go there and get back. That’s especially awkward at night.
